Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Convert, operated by Sawir Studio LLC ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. The service

Convert is a free tool that converts files inside your web browser. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, without notice.

2. Your files

• You keep all rights to your files. They are processed on your device and are never sent to us (see the Privacy Policy).
• You are responsible for the files you convert and for having the right to use, copy and convert them.
• Do not use the site for anything illegal.

3. Acceptable use

Do not try to disrupt, overload or harm the site or its hosting, access it with automated tools in a way that puts unreasonable load on it, or present the site as your own service or suggest we endorse you.

4. Embedding

You may embed our converters on your website using the embed code from our embed page, free of charge. Keep the embed and its attribution link visible and unaltered, don't suggest that we endorse your site, and don't use embeds on sites with illegal content. We may change or stop embeds at any time.

5. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Conversions can lose quality, metadata, layers, formatting or other data, and results depend on your browser and device. Always keep your original files.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sawir Studio LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed fifty US dollars (US$50). Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

7. Open-source software

The site uses pdf.js (Apache License 2.0), the ffmpeg.wasm loader (MIT License) and the unmodified FFmpeg core it loads (GPL-2.0-or-later, source at the same link). Each is subject to its own license.

8. Trademarks

File format and product names such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Sketch, XD, HEIC and others belong to their owners. They are used only to describe file compatibility. Convert is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
